Excellent light for woodworking. I set one up on my bandsaw and modified one on my miter saw to create a shadow cut line. Strong magnet, strong light.

I ordered a WHITE light and TWICE they sent me a GRAY despite an assurance that after they sent the first one back they would fix it. The second was sent back. While the light looks good, I wanted WHITE to match my sewing machine. If your sewing machine isn't metal, the light won't stick to it and you'll need tape. On metal, this is a very strong hold.

Bought this light for my band saw. The magnet is very strong, there is a rubber ring around the magnet that prevents it from spinning. The gooseneck is covered with rubber and is easy to maneuver and stays in place. Lightweight and compact. Gives a nice bright white light. It works cool, which is one of the advantages of LEDs. There is an on/off switch on the back of the base. Very happy with it. It exceeded my expectations at a very reasonable price.

I use this light on my reloading press. Nearly all reloading presses block ambient light right where you need it - under the dies - by design. I've seen LED strips as a solution, but in my case I didn't want the light to shine directly on me. . The flexible arm aligns the light head exactly where you need it, and you can also rotate the head to better adjust the direction of the light. I don't know anything about sewing. However, I know a thing or two about woodworking. I bought this light to work with my bandsaw and I have to say I'm INCREDIBLY impressed. The magnet is amazingly strong. I was a bit skeptical at first as these heavy machines can vibrate a bit and weak magnets can fall off. Needless to say, this magnet stays in place. I bought this light for my Sailrite sewing machine which has no light. The brightest is amazing, if a bit overwhelming at times (sewing machine needle plate is very reflective). But with some adjustment to where the light is aimed and the distance helps the brightness of the light. The magnet is a good size and very strong so you don't have to worry about it falling off while sewing. This is great for a solid metal sewing machine, but I'm not sure it will be a problem for other sewing machines.

This lamp is BRIGHT. Maybe it's too bright for the reading lamp at the head of the bed. It has a very white (light bluish white) hue. Ideal for hobby and workplace lighting. I taped a piece of yellow vinyl tape over the light diffuser to give it a yellowish tint to use as a headboard reading light. Powerful magnet keeps the light right where you need it. It's not a very bright light, but it's an LED and for its size and versatility, it does its job well. You can place the light anywhere (sticks well to metal) and it gives light exactly where you need it. It has a built in switch so you don't have to unplug it to turn off the light.
