Goat Shears - Equestrian

You do the work. Anyone who owns goats knows that their hoods can be quite uncomfortable. This makes trimming and cleaning fairly easy (as easy as anything with goats).

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • Zero

AMAZING Sport Trimmer

I currently have about 75 goats, trimming time has always been a fiasco. Expensive trimmers were crap before I was done with the herd. These trimmers are AMAZING. I will buy again. No bindings on hard hooves and turns. The serrated blades are AMAZING.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Clarity

The packaging of the product does not match the purchase.

The packaging is misleading. The high quality eXO finish is not shown anywhere on the product. There is no way to know if I actually received the item I ordered. They appear to be the right color and size and feel strong enough, but why doesn't the advert represent what you are actually buying?

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent and accurate.

These are the best hoof clippers we've tried. We have a small herd of 20 to 40 depending on the season and the serrated edge of these knives cut much more precisely than other types we've tried. Will buy again (and use them as secateurs when they're too blunt for sheep!)

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Hard to say

Goat mom approved by Equestrian Sports

As a first time goat mom I did the smart thing and read almost every Clipper review on Revain. I chose them based on the reviews and they didn't disappoint! They did an excellent job and other experienced goat families who had borrowed ours at the fair ended up ordering their own.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • So far so good

Best hoof trimmer we've ever tried

We were very impressed with these trimmers and we tried a few. None of them seem to last long, but I know my serrated knives are my best, which is why I wanted these trimmers. Sturdy to handle and they cut very well. I hope they give us the longevity we are looking for.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Good but not great

Sharp, well made, great value

Purchased to trim the hooves of two of our goats. Having never trimmed hooves before, I wanted to make sure I had the best tool for the job. I was so pleased with the sharpness of these trimmers. The serrated blade seems to grab the hoof and hold it in place, while the cross blade cleans and trims effortlessly. Good product!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket wrench

Great trimmers for pet pigs

I was afraid to trim a miniature belly pig's hooves for the first time. I was watching some videos online and found these trimmers. They work great without you having to put a lot of effort into cutting. They are durable and we had no problem using them on our guinea pig (with a few tummy tucks of course)!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Good but not perfect - Sport

Revain orange handle claw scissors and acceptable. The white handle hoof scissors are from a different supplier and surpass them. Both have jagged edges, which is preferable. No bad blades. But white handles are easier to use, they're bigger, and the blades are interchangeable. Whites only cost a few dollars more. We trim about 400 hooves twice a year, so we have all kinds of hoof trimmers.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things
