Premier Gear PG 19050 Professional Starter Review

I ordered a 2011 4matic (driver side mounted) for my E550 as it said it would fit, but it was for the non 4matic model and for the passenger side. I had to go back on credit and buy another and more expensive one locally to complete the repair. The starter seemed to be of good quality and would work if made for my car.

My 2008 Mercedes CLS550 had a starter failure. This replacement starter works great. I can't say anything about the long-term function, but it seems to be well made. If you need to replace the starter, don't hesitate. Remember to check the battery, fuse, and then relay in that order before replacing. If everything is fine with them, then most likely the problem lies in the starter motor.

I installed it on my 2009 Mercedes GL550 and it worked great. A few months later it starts with no problems. I saved a ton of money compared to other places and saved over $1,000 at a Mercedes dealership. I installed without any special tools or knowledge. I was able to remove/install the starter under the car and didn't have to remove any other parts to access it.

Fantastic alternative to the OEM starter, installed on a 2011 Mercedes Benz GL450, started on the first try and cost less than half the Mercedes OEM price. I waited a while before doing this review to make sure the launcher was working without any issues. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wondering if this would be a good alternative to an OEM starter. Even the mechanic was surprised by the build quality.

I am a 42 year old experienced Mercedes and BMW technician. I'm excited about this starter. I like the way it sounds and its ability to spin quickly. Better than the Bosch counterpart. And it means a lot to me! I just hope they are all of the same quality and construction. Considering cost savings and amazing performance. This is an excellent quality product. Bought to replace the failed starter on our GL550. It's been in use for about a month now and works flawlessly.
