Great quality and fast shipping

I bought this pastel because I wanted to expand my toolbox as an artist. I don't paint with pastels and my colleagues advised me to learn pastels with this set. My first impressions are very positive. The crayons are not very hard, the colors are nice, there are light, dark and light colors in the palette. The delivery was super fast. Thanks for that!

Great quality, great price!

Nupastel is a high quality hard pastel. If you're serious about getting into pastel art, you can invest in softer pastels, but I've done entire jobs using just Nupastel and the right fixative between coats. Dust is minimal as the pastels are very hard and pens last a long time. This price for the entire Nupastels line is unprecedented; If you are serious about getting into pastels, I suggest investing in these as long as the price is affordable! The attached work was performed by Nupastels.

Really well pigmented

Just received them and am happy with the set. Really good choice of colors and very practical packaging. I'm just starting out with pastels. I usually use acrylics so I'm trying this new medium with pastels, a great selection from Senellier, Terry Ludwig and other brands that may be out of reach for an aspiring artist. They are great for beginner kits. Easy to control and draw details. Good pigments and balanced medium softness. I wish there were more shades to choose from but overall this is a

Poor packaging affects the high quality of the goods

More than 10% of the pastel colors break on arrival, although they are of a hard nature. This goes without saying as the pastel box was simply placed in an unsecured bubble envelope. Only if the box is fixed on a corrugated board, so that it does not move in the envelope, such damage is drastically reduced. Revain.co.jp usually does, why not Revain.com? I like Nupastel but the 96 color set is very expensive in Japan so I bought it from Revain.com. Then I'm really surprised about the different…

Amazing colours, good packaging NO broken pastels

I was concerned about possible broken pastels but this packaging is so good I'm not sure how it will be with a new product. I took a photo showing how each stick is in its own little smack and it's handy for storage too. Any color you see on the upholstery is mine when I used it. The colors, and most importantly, are beautiful and I like them. I'm so happy I got them during the Cyber Monday sale. Prismacolor products are always top and make drawing and designing more enjoyable. Very smooth and…

Great color when dry, even more stunning when wet.

I read the reviews and decided to take a chance because the price was right at the time. My order arrived safe and sound and none of my sticks were broken. Each stick was wrapped in sponge foam. Each stick is numbered so I downloaded a color chart from Blick to get the color names. I did the dry tests and then the wet tests in a coloring book with good quality paper. I wet the brush, twirled it on a stick to pick up the paint, and painted some flowers. The color was amazing. The pigment was…

Expensive, not very practical packaging, overall a good product.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase. However, I am disappointed that there was no bubble wrap in the packaging and some of my very expensive pastels were damaged. One appears to be defective and really makes me doubt the authenticity of this product. For a hundred bucks you need to be more careful to get the product to me safe and sound. Thank goodness only 3 were affected. I will add more photos and information as soon as I have a chance to use them. So far I'm not particularly…

25% broken on arrival. Do not worry!

I love (and use) this product. Solid pastels offer options that soft pastels don't, so mixing gives you the best of both worlds. 96 is the full range of Prismacolor colors and for work mixing soft and hard pastels this should be sufficient. Over 20 of the 96 pastels arrived broken. The pastel powder had leaked out between the box and the packaging, leaving the box stained with pastel powder. I bought such a set in an art store a year ago and the situation was the same. So I don't know if it's…
