Bits of metal on my corn!

Yesterday after putting this coffee grinder on the kitchen shelf I decided to make the necessary stand for her work and try grinding cooked corn. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! After using different grind settings, I noticed that my ground corn came out GRAY METAL COLOR! I ended up throwing away all my corn and trying to get back that horrible coffee grinder that is a health hazard. You must remove this item from the market before anyone becomes poisoned.

Poor quality parts and do not fit

Bought this for my students to grind corn but we couldn't get it to work. At first we made sure it wasn't too tight so we could easily work it down to a finer grit, but the grip kept slipping and if we loosened it any further whole grit just popped out. The holes on the handle were surrounded by huge chunks of metal and didn't even fit properly. We tried tightening it with a rubber mallet and it hurt, ended up slipping off. I was hoping this cheaper version would work as well as our more…

That works great! Read the instructions and don't try to grind.

I read the previous reviews before buying it and was a little scared to try it but after reading the posts saying most buyers don't know how to used it, I risked it. That works great! Read the instructions and don't try to turn the mountain into a molehill! When you grind corn, set your grinder to separate the corn first, and then; Tighten the plates a little and grind again, then tighten even more to make cornmeal. I had pigeon pellets that I wanted to grind up into feed that I could just put…

Great hand grinder!

Trying to simplify life - homestead, pioneer, survival etc. I was looking for a good hand grinder. Comparing the price with the aesthetic appearance made me order this grinder. When I received it it was solid. The size is good too. I've been trying to find a way to grind the chaga that I collect. A few nights ago I started grinding chaga in my electric coffee grinder and after making about a pound my grinder broke. Dried chaga is like petrified wood to me! I suddenly thought of a hand grinder…

Well, it REALLY grinds itself

Almost all of these grinders, but especially the ridge plates, the quality/casting was pretty damn terrible. So the ridges have different heights. This means that if you don't set it to one of the coarsest settings, you'll be grinding metal on metal and ending up with shavings in your food. The parts are very poorly constructed, with the occasional casting flaw making it difficult to put everything together correctly. to try to understand what's going on. You can see in the photos that after so

I didn't have any of the negative feedback issues.

I bought this grinder because it was $73 and only cost me $27 with free shipping. Came in a box with no instructions, just a diagram on the box with all the details and roughly where they are. Since it's a very simple concept, it really took everything to figure out how to put it together and use it. that fine powder falls through the slots where it connects to the grinder. I had no problem with falling off. I used to throw a bundle of rice through it to break it. I didn't find any metal…

I feel like I got what I paid for and I'm happy with it.

I am most interested in grinding wheat berries. I'm new to this so thought this product would be a fun/cheap way to get started and learn. It was. I haven't had any luck sanding everything that well. Even after multiple runs. I ended up with about a fifth of the flour consistency, with the rest ranging from that to fairly coarse. About what I expected as it is a "corn" mill and not a wheat mill. But I think I could do better if I practice. But the main thing I wanted to emphasize is that none…
