Beautiful wood; good shape; strange coating

The pieces look extraordinary, both the carving and the wood quality are excellent. My only issue is the oily, unidentified film, perhaps some sort of varnish, which covers both spoons. The manufacturer should disclose what the spoons are coated with. Hopefully, nothing unhealthy. Otherwise, I would have given the spoons a 5.

  • The wooden spoons can easily get stained with strong-colored ingredients like tomato sauce or beetroot

Spoons have a hard coating on them.

The spoons seem like they would last and I like the size, but they are coated with a finish, and it isn't oil on natural wood.Like other reviewers, I thought I was getting two spoons, but the set also included a spatula (even though the box was marked "2 Wooden Spoons"). The spatula had splintered a bit near the top of the handle. Since it was a freebie, I decided to sand the splinter down. Lovely and handy! best in my review

I love these ladles! I want to use them for everything. I had the small one a few days and it chipped but I was able to glue it back in. I dropped it and it landed just right and chipped a little V shape on the edge. They are a bit delicate but they are beautiful and very handy. I wouldn’t put them into the dishwasher. I always hand wash any wooden utensils (I learned that the hard way).

I thought these would be took thick for my liking but I love this and would recommend if you love wooden spoons for cooking

Very unique pieces, we love them.

They’re very unique looking pieces, easy to clean, worked great for stew & soup. We’ve only used them a few times, but I do like them and will probably more order more in the futur.

Coating comes off after one use

While these are beautiful out of the box, the coating comes off quickly. The spatula was used once and gently washed and the coating is already coming off. I haven’t used the ladles yet but am concerned the same will happen to those as well. I personally wouldn’t recommend these. I will say you that you order a ladle and you actually get 2 ladles and one spatula. So decent value I guess.

They are beautifully shaped and very impermeable. I really hope the sheer on them is not toxic.

They are gorgeous, great size, practical, and very impermeable. The wood is very shinny, and I'd personally prefer if there was no sheer coating on them, just because even-though they said there was no bpa or toxic varnish on them, and that it was all natural, it's hard to believe. This item works well. Happy with my purchase. The shape is exactly what I wanted.I removed 1 star from my rating because this seller sent a card trying to bribe customers for a 5 star rating. You would have gotten that if you had more integrity.

Beautiful! - my new review

I highly recommend these wooden spoons! I wanted to replace my plastic ladle, and found this beautiful wooden one. Actually, there were two listed and they both looked nice for my kitchen. When order arrived (promptly) I was surprised to find they they had shipped THREE gorgous tools! They included a wooden spatula (on a day when I ruined one of my plastic spatulas!) I LOVE these! Great quality, will not scuff nice pots and pans

I haven’t used them yet. I can already tell these are going to be perfect for what I need:) I did end up getting a wooden spatula when I only ordered the two spoons. Not sure if it was just a bonus to it but hey, I’ll take it! They’re fabulous quality, no smell from wood treatment. Very soft and no sharp edges. We have very expensive pans that will be ruined by medal utensils and so these will be perfect!

I really like the size but…

I love the shapes and sizes of these spoons. They are very sturdy too. I was looking for acacia wood ladles and these seemed to be the ones. However I don’t like the fact that there is an unidentified coating on them. I’m going to send them back.

Great spoons good for me

Love these wooden spoons since they don't scratch my pans.They dont get everything out of the edges of the pans but for that I use my spatula.I use them for serving soups, stirring soups and serving salads like macaroni. I use them for stirring jello, stews, you name it!They clean up rather easily and don't scratch easily.

Great product and beautiful craftsmanship!

These spoons and spatula are beautiful and versital. We hand wash them so they stay looking new. The spatula is great for stir fry and the ladles are a wonderful addition to our serving dishes.

Weird coating best in my review

The product says it’s coated with a food safe oil but it’s clearly some sort of lacker. It was a weird orange hue to it. It’s also advertised as Acacia wood under the material listed. I bought these to match my Acacia wood counter tops finished with a food grade oil. Vast difference in color. Luckily a previous poster said it comes off easily so maybe I can sand and oil them. They are one solid piece which is hard to find in a ladle shape. I have not yet cooked with them.

Wonderful spoons! good for me
