I've only recently learned of the value of Mylar bags for long-term storage of groceries and other items. It was a great suggestion, although halfway through packing we realized I prefer medium sized sachets. Will be ordering more very soon.

The zipper on these bags is great, but they are so thin that food will pierce the inside of the bag. loss of a seal. I will try to double pack to keep the groceries I have stored. Wanted to love this product, wish they made mylar thicker.

Everything fits me except oxygen absorber. I don't think they work. The first few packets never "puckered" which showed me that oxygen was being picked up AND the absorbers never warmed to the touch. This is disappointing as I am now forced to order new ones and hope they work.

available As mentioned, they are durable! When I make beef jerky, the sharp ends often poke into the vacuum bags, but not in this case! They seal nicely when heated, you can rip them apart when ready and snap them back together for reuse! All packaging, labels, oxygen eliminators - all there. I will buy again.

These bags were great. My husband is a big fan of the outdoors and prepares for emergencies (insert eye roll here) and it was perfect for his meal prep. They were difficult to use with our vacuum and sealer, but after a few adjustments they worked perfectly. The zipper itself closes well and the pockets are very durable.

I've been putting dry food in mylar bags since 2017. Usually the bags will brick after 30 minutes as the oxygen has used up all the oxygen in the bag. Unfortunately I paid double for this product and after a few hours the bags looked the same (not as strong as others I've had in the past). As a result, I consider this product garbage as it defeats the purpose of storing kibble. Shock absorbers do not work.

At first I didn't know what to expect but after a week of using these bags I understood what the hype was about. Although I rarely (once) sealed packages, the ziploc feature worked great. By using oxygen absorbers and the name tags they provide (you will use so many that you will need name tags), organization is very easy. It's still weird to use them instead of plastic bags, but being able to use them in the microwave makes a big difference. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for…

UPDATE: They contacted me and are replacing the product. They also said they would refund my money if I had any problems. I admit it's been a long time to have great customer service. These thick bags are ideal for long-term food storage. The O2 absorbers are small so you will need to add more as the bag size increases. The labels work well but I prefer to use a marker on them in case the label comes off for some reason. I use my vacuum sealer for all the small bags, but for the larger gallon bags I use my hair straightener to seal them. (Tip: run twice in the same spot so it gets warm enough.)
