Not sure if it's supposed to be super stiff to the point where the side ripped and ripped off trying to install. My old back panel cracked after over 15 years of use so I bought this as a replacement. It was already difficult enough to place the back plate in the right place. After I attached one side of the back panel and tried to attach the other side, it broke immediately. I ended up having a 1/2 back panel protected.
