I love this footstool but one of the side pieces broke in half. The wood glue included in the kit is dry. Everything works fine but I used masking tape to reinforce the sides. The only reason I didn't return it was because I've had one before and I know I like it and I've just tried 2 other styles that I didn't like.

I've used it for two purposes: to add height to our sauna (my legs are too short and dangle when I sit on it) and to tuck it under my home Office desk to use. It works great for both purposes. My only criticism is that the chair tips over if you shift your weight to one side or the other. I think the feet should be wider at the base to avoid this problem. Otherwise a great stool for my purposes.

The footrest is fine but if you plan on ordering one, be aware that (1) in the first foot pack that was sent to me was a base piece was broken. (They quickly sent a new kit), (2) neither of those kits included the 2" screws needed to attach the top to the bars and you have to go to the hardware store to get them and (3) Prime Products is not the same company as Prime-Line (which is listed as a seller). I ordered 2 of these and am ordering the 3rd. Of the first two, one was fine (except for the missing screw) and the second was torn in the box. Judging by other reviews, prop splitting is a common problem. I bought this to put under my dining table, I love having a footstool when I sit and eat (or use the table as a desk). This stool is essential for short people and people with back problems. I first bought and used it at a flea market a year ago when I was a new breastfeeding mom.
