Recommended and virtuous Buy 2

Rarely do quality and expectations exceed cost, and especially rarely do watercolor brushes achieve this goal. The grip feels distinct and strong. I like the big middle part of the brush and the quick transition to thin. Real value with great performance.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Periodicity

The Princeton Neptune line got another chance

I really didn't notice the hype surrounding the Princeton Neptune Quill tips after looking at a few pictures, but I decided to give this round watercolor brush line a go 8 to try again. I couldn't be happier with this brush. For this price you get a versatile, greedy brush that has a full range of motion and can make thick and (very) thin marks. If you're looking for a good round watercolor brush on a budget, you can't go wrong with Neptune.

Pros
  • Brilliantly Done
Cons
  • Expensive

When only the "best " brush will do.

I'm slowly replacing my inferior watercolor brushes with Princeton Neptune. Although I'm a relative newbie, a live demo comparing "good-better-best" brushes and paper at a Florida art store convinced me that "the best" is both worth the money across the board is. I would like to say that I am very pleased that both the 8 and 10 wheel brushes I purchased were shipped with nozzles covered in plastic tubes. In my tight art supply closet, they really help conserve my brushes.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Many things

Amazing Brushes!: Brush

I love this brush line! They hold so much ink and water and move so smoothly across the paper. They are really durable and as long as you don't leave them in the water or give them a few dyes they will last a very long time. I haven't had any issues with the packaging, they all come with a protective cap and are in excellent condition. The only thing missing from the Neptune line are fasteners, but that's the price you pay for a brush that lasts so much. I've included a photo of all my Neptunes

Pros
  • CREATE A MASTERPIECE. Whether you're painting a large area or thin, subtle details, Neptune's watercolor brushes provide the power and precision you need to create a masterpiece.
Cons
  • Damaged

Good alternative to proteins

I love this brush but it is no different than my other faux squirrel brushes. Specifically, I'm referring to the Creative Mark Mimic with a gray pen. For value for money, it is better to get one of the mimic kits that offer multiple shapes and sizes. I lost my size 8 Mimic round so this Neptune brush completes my set and was much needed. This brush contains tons of water and pigment, and if your brush isn't fully loaded you may end up with a sharp point. However, if you are new or not good with

Pros
  • EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY AND PRICE. We have developed a collection of professional quality synthetic brushes that are more durable and affordable than the natural version and are pet safe.

Incredible for synthetics

I'm looking for an inexpensive round watercolor brush and decided to compare two that I've heard a lot about. I'm still a beginner, but I've found that the synthetic brushes I currently have just don't come up. I need to start updating my brushes. I started with Princeton's Neptune (Round 8) and Da Vinci Protein Blend. Neptune is a high-tech synthetic material that mimics squirrel hair, and Da Vinci (Round 10) features a mix of real squirrel, bovine, and some synthetic threads. These are…

Pros
  • OUR SOFTEST AND THIRD BRUSH. This synthetic brush absorbs pigment and contains a water reservoir to create oceans of color with each beautiful creative stroke.
Cons
  • Non-automatic
