Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

As I installed it, I immediately downloaded and uploaded the latest firmware from the LG offsite (v1.03) I do not understand what other unsubscribers are talking about (not only here). The tray slides out smoothly and quietly, at normal speed, as in any other drive, there is no clang or rattle at all. I spent half a day writing discs, the drive was a little warm, I did not find any overheating. Verbatim BD-R LTH recorded normally, without errors (although they complain here that they allegedly

Pros
  • Quiet, barely audible during DVD and BD reading, much less noise during recording than DVDRAM from the same company. The blue LED looks prettier than the old yellow-green ones. The front panel is not the same as in the photo (were there such at all?), but flat, black, without unnecessary inscriptions, there is only the Blu-ray Disc logo on the tray. The drive itself is short, it will fit into any, even the most compact case (barebon/mITX) On the very first day after the purchase, I recorded 3 regular and 1 two-layer BD-R, the usual writes in 12 minutes, the double - somewhere around 25 minutes, does not heat up, does not stink of burning plastic (DVDRAM stank the first 2 burns, then weathered), rewrote 1 DVD+RW and 1 CD-RW - no errors/crashes despite disc scratches (no longer new).

Well done, but I wont buy any more.

When working with all types of disks, it heats up very strongly. When idle, it cools down completely. BD, DVD, CD writes and reads confidently. On balanced disks, it practically does not vibrate, in general, it makes little noise. When operating at maximum speed, it buzzes slightly. The front panel of the drive is classic, black, with a button and LED. She is not the same as in the photos. Compact and short, measured drive weight 677 gr. When loading an empty tray or a tray with a disc, the…

Pros

Cons
  • Gets hot while working.

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

Bought one like this. The goal is to backup home videos and photos. Wrote on blanks purchased in the same place (TDK 25 Gb). Writes quietly (the drive is not audible at all), but slowly. Perhaps this is a feature of these blanks. DVD writes fast. In general, a normal option. You won't find better for the money. Its pros: He writes well and reads everything that I slipped him. Relatively quiet (compared to budget DVD writers) Different cons: I wanted software in the kit, but it's not there…

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

When cutting discs of the VS brand (price is 50 apiece), it shamelessly disrupts the recording during preparation and cuts the disc in the bud. Of the chopped 3 dozens, he killed 5 pieces. When cutting even the same VS DVD standard, there were no more problems than when rejecting low-priced ones. Cut CDBurnerXP and BurnAware . Doesn't know how to properly cut several discs in a row, I remembered the ancient times when they put 5.25 "drives in the freezer. Disks kills only when cutting 2 or

Pros
  • Not bad value for money
Cons
  • The problem when cutting blu discs of the lower price segment, it heats up

as if it were a disc

The only program that really interested me was PowerDVD and it comes with version 10 which is a few years old. You are up to PowerDVD 15! I was able to install it on Windows 8.1, but when you try to play a Blu-Ray disc it says "You need to upgrade your Cyberlink PowerDVD to play this disc" as if it were a disc. When you click the "Upgrade ' button will take you to an upgrade page which you will need to pay for. There is an almost hidden link to update the current version, but downloading and…

Excellent M Disc Blue Ray burner with future technology.

This was exactly as shown in the picture unlike some other reviews which had a flat emblem etc (picture attached). I chose this drive over other cheaper ones for two reasons. One of the reasons was that it came with a Blue-Ray player and multimedia software. This alone can cost up to $40. Windows 10 comes without software and this pack solves that problem. The second reason was that this drive seems to have some promise. It features M Disk technology, 3D playback and can work with 2-layer…

Everything you need to get your BluRay working

My first test was to burn a dual layer DVD from an ISO image file I created years ago, but never to a dual -Layer DVD - the recorder I originally had installed on this system. It worked perfectly. It will probably be some time before I can fully utilize Mdisk's capabilities, but its purported archival capability for long-term storage is one of the main reasons I chose this drive. The included software has the usual "Of course it's good, but you REALLY need to buy this magic upgrade!" Start with
