- Quiet, barely audible during DVD and BD reading, much less noise during recording than DVDRAM from the same company. The blue LED looks prettier than the old yellow-green ones. The front panel is not the same as in the photo (were there such at all?), but flat, black, without unnecessary inscriptions, there is only the Blu-ray Disc logo on the tray. The drive itself is short, it will fit into any, even the most compact case (barebon/mITX) On the very first day after the purchase, I recorded 3 regular and 1 two-layer BD-R, the usual writes in 12 minutes, the double - somewhere around 25 minutes, does not heat up, does not stink of burning plastic (DVDRAM stank the first 2 burns, then weathered), rewrote 1 DVD+RW and 1 CD-RW - no errors/crashes despite disc scratches (no longer new).
