Great for hard glass!

We cut glass everyday but always had problems cutting high temp "stove" glass and 3/8" the glass. This cutter worked extremely well and it takes very little effort to scribe the glass. The only issue is that the head tends to loosen up and then the oil leaks out.

Pros
  • Muy buen trabajo
Cons
  • This was very hard to use and when cut the mirrors wouldn’t break evenly. Glass was everywhere !

Could of been the user, but this was not dependable.

Could be user error, but following directions/instructions/YouTubes, this thing was just frustrating. Would not cut solidly, it would skip (for lack of a better word). Cutting some times and not at all others.

Pros
  • Scenes to be used
Cons
  • The pencil-style oil feed feature can be messy and requires constant cleaning, making it an inconvenience for users who value cleanliness and efficiency

Does what it's supposed to do

I am an inexperienced glass cutter, but I followed the directions and attempted to cut a scrap of a pretty thick mirror I had lying around. And it worked surprisingly well! It does state that you should practice several times before doing your actual cut and I agree with that. It takes some getting used to to know how much pressure you need to put down. Also I'm not very good at getting good pressure on the start and end of my cut so that's something I need to work on as well. However, I was…

Pros
  • 11.3 ounces
Cons
  • The product's cutting range of 2mm to 20mm is limited and insufficient for users who want to work on thicker surfaces, making it unsuitable for glass artists and designers who require more flexibility in their tools

Leaks oil from both ends

The glass cutting tool leaked from both ends, the top where you add the oil and bottom cutting blade attachment. One end has a small round metal ball that screws in to the opening where you add oil, the other end is where the blade attachment screws into the straight handle. I cut approximately 15 small pieces of stained glass and as I was cutting, both ends unscrewed and oil leaked out. This happened with each piece, sometimes twice.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • It requires a lot of practice and skill to operate correctly, making it unsuitable for beginners or occasional users
