I never write reviews but thought I should because this product saved me money and time. Great iron for the price. It frizzes and straightens without making me feel like I've toasted my hair (which I've done in the past). I saved money buying another (unnamed) iron that would have cost more than double. I finally decided to buy a new hair straightener which is more expensive than the one I bought at Walmart. I was so excited to finally get a new one until I got it. I wasn't satisfied on the first try. I didn't want to heat it too much to damage my hair and it didn't even straighten anything so I had to turn up the heat to get it to work. I bought this straightener for my daughter after a $200 straightener finally died after 4 years of use. I wasn't sure because the price was very reasonable. She came to me after straightening her hair with Furids and said she loved it. It made her hair very soft and you couldn't see any damage to the hair she has. This is a great flat iron and it's good value.

I love this iron/curling iron! I had a Chi iron and I like it a lot more! It heats up in 10 seconds and I love the dial that lights up with LEDs on the side. You can easily see the temperature settings as it is illuminated. The ceramic plates on this iron definitely make it a single pass flat iron. It also has a cylindrical shape so it also curls the hair. I have very thick hair so I use the full 450 degrees.
