I bought this item for my WH1000XM3. The material is of high quality and has even better noise isolation than the original pads. The result is a very clear sound and an impressively noise-free playback in the headphones. I did not find out if there is any difference in quality between this alternative and original Sony pads.

Installation: Very easy to install, just follow the instructions and only took you a few minutes. To me, if anything, it offers a better seal and therefore better overall noise isolation. Comfort: Better than the original MDR-1000XM3. They breathe well and are incredibly comfortable.

I wear my WH1000XM3 for many hours a day between work and home use. The upholstery is worn and a bit flat. The tool that came with it was perfect. I removed the old pads and put in new ones a minute later. super easy. The noise cancellation has improved and they are very comfortable. Headphones are like new again.

They look exactly like the ear pads that come with the headphones. May I say a bit more :) I also like the tool that comes with them. I replaced another pair with headphones from a different brand (Bose) but the tool was missing and I ripped off a tiny part of it. The tool makes it very easy to take off and helps to put it back on again. I would buy them again with great pleasure.

My WH1000XM3 headphones are used every day/night. I love the noise canceling feature that shuts out the world while I fall asleep. So I wear these headphones on my head for 3 to 12 or even 18 hours a day. My original ear pads were almost flat. I didn't realize how bad they had gotten in less than a year. It had a dramatic effect. I'm tempted to get a few more pairs like this. I can easily replace them again after 6 months.

They are slightly stronger than the originals so every time I turn my head or look down the seal breaks and the noise canceling becomes useless. For those with larger heads, the headphones' clamping pressure should eliminate this problem, but if you have a smaller head you might want to consider other products. Fixing this issue will mitigate a bit. Otherwise, the optics were the same as the originals. The included tool is also a thoughtful addition that really makes changing pads a breeze.

ANK significantly worse than the original cushion. I don't know why some of these reviews claim ANC is better, but after wearing them 12+ hours a day for a month, I've come to the conclusion that those claims aren't true. The first part had a manufacturing defect which they supported. The rest works great. Not properly aligned. The second was ok. I will try to solve the problems I had. I needed new pads but really didn't want to ruin anything good. - and - same / close / little affected - consolation - needs a beak.
