ANK significantly worse than the original cushion. I don't know why some of these reviews claim ANC is better, but after wearing them 12+ hours a day for a month, I've come to the conclusion that those claims aren't true. While these ear pads are more comfortable, they're not worth the trade-off, especially if you live in a very noisy environment. I would use XM3 headphones to sleep soundly and I wouldn't fucking hear a thing. However, since replacing the original pillows with these, I can CLEARLY hear the world around me and have started to sleep as a result. Yes, my living situation is absurdly loud, but that's why I bought the XM3 headphones. If I give the ANC performance a 10/10 with the original pads, that would be around a 3/10. The ANC is so bad on these new pads that I didn't even buy the XM3 headphones. I can clearly hear conversations and ambient noise even when playing music. I bought the Sony XM3 headphones for their excellent noise canceling performance, but those new ear pads just ruined me. DO NOT buy these pillows if you think ANC is as good or better.
