Description of Proforged 103 10061 Pitman Arm

Ball studs forged from higher carbon SAE4140 steel for a stronger impact resistance and a longer-life, more durable joint - and then enclosed in forged SAE1045 housings, heat treated for strength and durability. Greaseable design with high-quality, pre-loaded grease. Induction-hardened stud head for a much harder, more durable, longer lasting stud wear surface, and induction-hardened housing to match the hardened stud surface, yielding an extremely long lasting part. CNC-machined housing for cleaner fit surfaces. The housings sit flush in the mating part because the surface is machined to match. Interchanges: Moog K7072, Rare Parts 20116.

Excellent Pitman arm!

Based on my observations, this Pitman arm is extremely durable and well-designed. It provided a noticeable improvement in my suspension system, giving me a smoother and more stable ride .The installation process was relatively easy, and the price point is very reasonable. The only downside I can see is that it may not be suitable for heavy-duty vehicles or extreme off-roading conditions. Overall, i highly recommend this product for anyone in need of a dependable Pitman arm replacement..

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction ensures durability and longevity
Cons
  • May cause vibrations or steering issues if not installed correctly

Ideal for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Part of a complete suspension/steering restoration (tie rods, ball joints, bushings, wheel bearings etc) to eliminate almost all play in the steering wheel (handlebars I haven't changed the gearbox yet, maybe there is still 5° play left, but acceptable). Restored the handling and responsiveness of my 48 year old car. There is no steering, the wheels keep their camber and I can be sure that the new tires I have fitted will last for years without excessive wear.

Pros
  • Steering arms
Cons
  • disappear
