It worked the first time.

I am very satisfied with this product. After 2 attempts with other brands. I open the box and install the software, plug it in and it worked the first time. Exactly what he said he would do. After 5-7 hours on the first two, he tries another brand.

Works when others don't

If you own one of the Baofeng radios, do yourself a favor and get this programming cable. This makes it much more efficient than programming by hand. I had issues with cheap cables that were supposed to be compatible but weren't. Get it right the first time and get it.

Quality product from the manufacturer

The cable allows specific frequencies to be flashed and downloaded to the radio. I would give tech support 6 stars if I could. very helpful and friendly. They walked me through the process step by step only for me to find out I had a faulty device (not hers but mine!). When I removed it everything worked as it should. The problem was mine. Great support!

Disable power management in Windows

WARNING. This cable can cause your radio to transmit when plugged in. If you're using this on Windows, go into Device Manager, locate the device under Ports, open Properties and Power Management tab, disable and uncheck them. Then turn off the radio before connecting the cable. It's now safe to turn on the radio and use programming tools like CHIRP.

Significantly better than models from other manufacturers.

This was my second attempt at getting a working programming cable. On my first attempt (from a different supplier) the order was sent to the wrong location and then arrived 3 weeks after the scheduled date. When the item arrived it was not working. It was a pirated copy of a genuine product that the seller refused to acknowledge. When I bought this: It arrived on time as expected. This is the real manufacturer of the Baofeng company. That works great. Easy to install and use. I wish I had…
