I had a very old one, I never change it because I'm scared of electricity. When I decided to take the old one and install this one, I was surprised at how easy it was.

Just received this afternoon! installed and works great! Yes, a bit pricey I have to admit, it seems like everyone is selling it for the same price!

I am an electrician, I buy materials in advance so that they are ready for installation. I bought this and it just didn't work, the power went through the cut off control but none of the items, the light or fan controls don't work because a month has passed and I can't replace them. I will never buy such a product online.

Switches work well when they work. I bought 5 to use as wall switches with the Home Decorators Collection Altura 56 in Indoor Oil Rated Bronze Chilling Fan with Remote Control. There seems to be little quality control as 1 out of 5 was poor to begin with. Since it's a construction site, I skipped the return window.

This was a direct replacement for the same switch that failed. The only difference was that this one comes with a ground wire (green) while the older one doesn't. I just connected the green wire from the switch to the bare copper ground in the junction box and all is good.
