🔳 Progress Lighting P4962-30 Traditional 2-Light Square Glass Ceiling Fixture in White Finish, 12" Diameter x 5.5" Height Review

Only needed fasteners, no wiring. Well packaged, no extra plastic. The lamp itself is made of glass with a frosted pattern. I just put it in the light and screwed the lid on. Works well in my home office.

The Light cover comes with a white plastic screw on the tab below as shown in the picture. It also comes with wiring and a case, which we don't need. However, we were hoping it would come with a white screw on the tongue and we were pleased.

I went to my existing lamp design and added the nut provided (very very hard to find a nut to buy) and Bang Zoom is a great solution. Love it. It always came with a new jig which I don't need, exactly the same size that was already in my bathroom. Easy easy.

It was a 10 minute job with a five minute break. It's not fun to work on a stool, but it's lightweight and fits right into an existing box, the wires were long enough I didn't even have to push or pull the Romex hard. Not a very fancy look, but I knew that beforehand.

This is what it looks like. I have a similar lamp in this old house and I broke its glass diffuser. I took that as a substitute. I might have been tempted to use a lightbulb socket, but I have a medium pull chain for the switch and relocating that part would be more trouble than it's worth.

My son was dancing in the kitchen of our apartment and was sweeping and he picked up the broom and it hit the lamp and broke it. I found this replacement that looks the same as the one that broke so I was able to replace the broken bracket. No damage, no foul. :) I'm glad it came as advertised and was very easy to install.

Okay, here's the story. I have a home that was built in the late 1960's when these lightboxes were popular but are now hard to find locally. The case included spare felt pads to protect the glass from breakage and a spare nut that looks like the original, which luckily I still have after accidentally breaking the original glass cover. Verdict: A well made product that measures exactly like the original, including the nut that holds the cover in place.

Although I have read the product description carefully to ensure that I am ordering only the glass lampshade and not all electrical equipment for installation in the ceiling, this item does include the Lampshade, lightbulb sockets, washer fluid and even a little plastic spike to hold it all together. Also in the picture the sockets are slightly darkened which indicated to me that there is only one lampshade and the lamp itself would not turn on. for which I got no benefit. Those sockets…
