pepper mill. great for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I'm tired of cute looking pepper mills. Grind. I was surprised to find a pepper mill with a side hatch for easy filling. I bought 3. One for me and 2 for the family. I have never used a more practical pepper mill! Even if you're in the middle of cranking and you run out, just open the side door and put in new peppercorns, keep cranking! Very easy to set up for grinding. Extremely good price! Buy 2, one for each end of the table! Howard Ragan, Beaverton, Oregon

Pros
  • Adjusting screw for fine or coarse grinding
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Grinds best in salt and pepper

I've had this grinder for about 6 months, it never grinds well - the peppercorns get stuck inside and don't find their way to the grinder easily. I bought these because I couldn't bring myself to spend [$$$] to get the "real" coffee grinder that these mimic. I have to constantly shake and tap against the side of the grinder to get the pepper to grind. I've tried different grinds, different types of peppers, overpacked and underpacked peppers, all with the same result. Now looking for a betterโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to turn handle
Cons
  • Older model

I LOVE this grinder!

I recently ordered two of these pepper mills based on the experience of using them in my kitchen not too long ago. One of my fellow chefs has one and uses it to grind up peppers at the very last moment, usually when the food is about to go into the pan! All I had to do was open the side door, load the peppercorns, close the door, set the grinder dial and start grinding. THIS IS EASY! I had incredible freshly ground pepper on demand and didn't have to clean the spilled peppercorns off theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 5 year limited warranty
