I use it to vacuum my sofa, beds and pillows and it works very well. I think for a wooden floor it could possibly scratch the floor because it doesn't have a soft base. Anyway, I use it for my Shark vacuum cleaner. I have to use an adapter because it won't fit on the shark hose on its own.
