Although they work well for reducing a burn on a hot handle on my Lodge 10 1/2" griddle, they do not provide a firm grip when lifting the griddle. My hands are stiff with arthritis and do much better with a firm grip whereas, the silicone handle covers squirms a bit if not gripped tightly. Someone with a firm grip might not find this objectionable. The handle slips on snugly when cold over the widest portion of my griddle handle but unfortunately, there is a gap along the majority of the handle

Fits like a glove and every easy to use just slide over the handle and it’s like having an oven not on it is heat resistant for the style of cooking I’m using them for thanks for a nice deal

A little stubborn to clean, especially if one were to forget it is on the handle and cook with it there allowing it to get burnt, but that is an operated related issue. I use these every day.

I thought I had an adequate handle cover, but the cloth could get too hot to handle safely. This product is great! No hot spots, and it's got a good grip. It appears to be indestructible.

The item was purchased to go with a cast iron skillet I am giving as a shower gift., I tried the handles on the skillet and they fit perfectly. I think the recipient will find the handle covers to be very useful.

This product makes using cast iron skillet so much easier. I love not having to use bulky potholders that can catch fire. This is slim and heat resistant.

It does insulate the hot handle from my hand well, not burning or heat. However, the edge that is on the underside of the handle, at the pan, closest to the heat, is deteriorated after only 2 weeks. I could live with that, but the texture is crumbly, and bits come off easily. I'm not crazy about the idea of something crumbly that near food. I also definitely expected them to be sturdier and last longer. I got the two pack thinking one for home, one for the RV. Now I see they wear out rapidly…

They look nice and fit well. However, If the pan is hot for a while and the handle is hot, the covers will not shield the full heat on the handle. You will still need an oven mit to handle the pan. It will however prevent burns from bumping into the handle or momentarily grabbing the handle.

Easy to put on and take off my cast iron tortilla pan. Holds itself in place and doesn't move when being used. No issues being able to pick up a very hot cast iron pan with this on.

I have been looking for this or something like this. When I saw the holders on ebay I had to have them. I have two cast iron pans. I love these holders.

Don’t put in oven. I did a heat test on the stove and it will stay cool enough to pick up for a very long time on high heat. After I took it off the heat I held the handle about an inch from the hot element. It definitely would be too hot to pick up in the oven! I tested the lodge brand as well and I had the same results.Bottom line. These are fine for stove top but don’t expect to take it off after cooking on stove top to put it in the oven. I can just imagine the food going everywhere! Only…

These are much better than other brands I've tried. Fits more snugly on the handle so it won't fall off. It also doesn't have any heat transfer in where you can feel the pan through the cover, no accidental burns when cooking for a long time. Love my cast iron pan and this product is a must have to cook safely.

Very easy to clean. Top rack dishwasher safe. However when your cast iron pan gets really hot, the handle cover can get hot too. It doesn’t melt but you will need a pot holder to hold the handle which defeats the purpose of the handle cover.
