I purchased the bedside mat for my mother with dementia to improve safety in case she falls when attempting to get out of bed during the night. Thankful, we have not had to use it. However, if we do this is a good mat to cushion her fall. The mat does not curl up on the ends or scoot on our carpet which creates an even greater safer environment. Very happy, I located this product.due to it being so solid.

I like the mat. It is soft yet easy for an older person to walk on. The reason I cannot give it a 5 star review is due to the way it slowly slides across the carpeted floor beneath it. I am constantly having to move the mat back in place.

Bought (and returned) this bedside mat. Did not like the thickness of it but was most dissatisfied with the advertised "textured" . surface - more an embossing than palpable/.felt texturing needed to prevent slipping/falling while getting into/out of bed.

Bought this for 96 year old father-in-law who resides in a memory care unit and has falling issues. Anecdotally, we learned that it worked as advertised when he fell getting out of bed. It did a great job of cushioning his fall and he was unscathed. The angled edges allow him to easily transition on and off the mat using his walker especially since his average length of step is 2-4” and he only lifts his feet 1/2-1” off the floor with each step. Initially we thought of storing it under his bed…

Our initial concern was that this would be too soft to walk on safely. Fortunately, the mats are firm enough to walk on, yet soft enough to feel much safer in case of falls. Wide tapered edge is great, and our dogs have not yet showed any interest in chewing on it. Easy to clean. Grey is a boring institutional color, wish it came in better colors such as blue or even brown.

Very sturdy product. The rubber cushion is thick and well made, Makes an excellent pad to kneel on for those projects that require you to work at a low level. Of course, it is made primarily made as a safe landing pad for crippled or elderly patients to land on so they won't hurt themselves. You'll be very satisfied with this product.
