They're a little ugly but work well. I've used sticky felt pads before and they never stayed on my chairs. The sticky felt pads came off and then left all this sticky residue on my wood floors and was also a magnet for dog (German shepherd) hair. I considered putting a nail on the felt pads but didn't want to deflower my chairs because they are antiques. I saw these caps and decided to try them. They work well, stay on your feet even if the chair slides while sitting. Overall I would buy again.

Seems to be a well thought out product. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its durability, but I believe it will work just fine. I use these chair caps to replace the felt lining on new dining room chairs I bought last year. Two felt pads came loose and didn't fit. I have chairs around the kitchen island and a ceramic tile floor. Each time the chair was moved there was a horrible squeak, followed by a pop and then another screech as the legs hit the indentations in the cement mortar. No other caps I have tried will fit as the legs are rectangular (rectangular caps are hard to find) and anything that sticks to them will soon wear out due to the cut outs in the base. Like many others I got fed up with those felt pads falling and then rubbing sticky mud on my wooden floors. I have 3 active little boys so I'm trying to find solid things. When they arrived they seemed too small for my chair legs but after I put them on they fit perfectly and worked so well.
