Description of PSI Woodworking LCWIZSK Carbide Wizard

All the benefits of a traditional skew with the results of a carbide tipped chisel. Overall length is 13. 5". Blade is 4" long. Includes a wrench for the tip screw and instructions. Replacement tip screw and wrench (LCWIZSY) are available. Gentle 2" Radius edge and angled blade works closer to the slicing action of a traditional skew, lowering the stress on the turning material and tool. Slices through wood or acrylic for smooth, clean cuts. Reduces chipping. Less sanding needed. Super sharp 4-sided replaceable carbide tip (LCWIZSX). ergonomic handle. Will wiz through wood and acrylic for faster results and eliminate the need for sharpening. The angled blade provides a consistent holding position. Designed to solve a recurring issue with carbide chisels; almost all carbide chisels are scrapers. While the blade on a scraper maintains a sharp edge, the method of holding the blade causes the edge to drag across surface of material, which can promote tool chatter, chipping, and shattering of turning materials.

Pros
  • High-speed, good for precision work.
Cons
  • Low quality, not durable enough.

In order to cut at an angle, the tool must be at an angle. If you use it on a flat back, it's a scraper. This tool with the right angle on the sides makes it easy to learn and use. Don't let the…
