Unreliable tailgate cable ruins day

Automotive cables can make or break a repair job, and unfortunately this product falls into the latter category. Using this product, our team found that the cable frayed and snapped after only a few months of use, leaving the tailgate completely unusable. The one pro is that the installation process was easy, but that ultimately doesn't outweigh the devastatingly negative impact of the cable's poor quality. We don't recommend this product for any auto repairs.

  • Some customers have reported that the latch mechanism can break over time, leading to difficulty opening and closing the tailgate.

Delivered and installed quickly!

They were an exact replacement for our '94 Dodge Dakota Sport Tailgate. The installation only took a few minutes. The tailgate end cap bolts had high torque which luckily I had from a previous job but may not be a common item in a home shop.
