Adam Sandler no clear joke in this movie

Don't listen to negative reviews from people who don't understand humor Other than Adam Sandler's signature fart joke. I loved Happy Gilmore as much as anyone, but it shows he's not a one-color prankster. He plays a man suffering from a fairly severe emotional disorder. The frantic music playing at the start of the film should give you an idea of what's going on in his character's mind, and if you're smart enough to get through the first 30 minutes or so, you'll find that that changes ever at…

Love or Hate - I Hated Then Loved

When I first saw this movie I hated it. I didn't know what the hell was going on. It was uncomfortable watching the main character because I didn't understand what his problem was. Just happened. But then I looked at it again. And it was different. It was a beautiful and strange story about a depressed man with suppressed anger who meets the love of his life and has to fight to keep her safe when a sex worker on the phone starts threatening him with physical violence if he doesn't get all his…

In its class Fine

I first saw "Punch Drunk Love" not much more than a year ago and having just looked through it I can say that this is the most extraordinary of the originals is comedy-drama-romance out there. A film about whimsical style, overcoming personal mistakes, redemption and the possibilities of an unlikely romance. The film begins with no title or credits, then builds without a premise or plot and moves entirely on its own, driven by the cuckold Barry, who is thrown off balance by the presence of…

Everything in class is different

I first saw "Punch Drunk Love" not more than a year ago and after reading it only now I can say, that this is the most unusual of all original comedy-drama novels. A film about whimsical style, overcoming personal mistakes, redemption and the possibilities of an unlikely romance. The film begins with no title or credits, then builds without a premise or plot and moves entirely on its own, driven by the cuckold Barry, who is thrown off balance by the presence of seven sisters who constantly…
