Runs small (my 7 pounder wears a medium) but other than this really great coat. The back is closed and built into the harness!

Very stylish and well made coat! The small size fit my 10lb Italian Greyhound very well. We get comments about it all the time! It's expensive, but you get a quality product for the price.

I have a down jacket with a plastic zip that has lasted more than 3 years and only the zip hasn't given me any problems. I bought this new coat thinking a metal zip would be even better but the material that the metal zip is attached to has started to wear out and now the zip for the coat has come undone. This coat is no longer good. We haven't had this coat for 4 months. Stick to the coat's plastic zipper.

After a long search this is the perfect jacket for my active dog. Sierre didn't make it. They twisted, stretched and were difficult to use with their seat belts. It's warm and she can play in it. The strap works well and is very comfortable. I like the wide ribbing on the neck and back, it fits snugly. I measured, added 2 inches for the neck and chest, then used the size chart. Got a very large one for my 27lb terrier/heeler mix.

My Shih Tzu has this coat and similar vest from Puppia Mountaineer. I like it better because the zipper is metal instead of plastic like the vest. The plastic can slip a bit after the zipper. This coat also has a great collar. It hugs the neck like a turtleneck and has a drawstring for adjustment. In comparison, the maid vest has a more open collar, allowing cold air to enter directly. On cold days I put her in a turtleneck sweater first, then a mountain vest, and she's nice and cozy. Although…
