Amber light and poor customer service

I have been using Pur filtration systems for at least 15 years and have only had 1 problem. I called Pur at the time and they sent me a replacement without having to send the unit back. I bought a new unit last September because my previous unit had mold on the part that distributes the tap water (it was really awful!). Two months after changing the filter, the yellow light came on. I called Pur and they told me to press the little box inside the unit 6 times to reset the light. Last week the…

I will never buy a polyurethane filter again! Bad quality and bad customer service.

This is the 4th filter I have bought from PUR in the last 5 years and the 4th to suddenly start leaking, sticking and starting to splash water everywhere due to poor quality. I bought the "Chrome" model. , mistakenly believing that it will be more durable because it is metal. I know you have to laugh because of course it's not metal, it's plastic with a chrome paint finish. Sigh. After six months of normal use, the seal around the cap that holds the filter has not failed. I see great reviews about this company's product in China. I've made many plastic molds and they aren't cheap, but the ones I've made don't seem to explore the pressure that builds up in the case over time. I've been using this company's creation for 10 years and I've been replacing it every 3-6 months for 10 years. Yes, really stupid, since I could buy the best reverse osmosis systems more than once.
