💧 PUR 7 Cup Water Filter Pitcher with Ultimate Filtration, Clear/Blue Review

We found that the valve on the rim of the jug lid did not work well. Getting spilled a lot when watering. The indicator light on the top of the cover has stopped working after only the second time we have changed the filter since we received the system. In addition, the lid does not fit on the back of the pot as it originally did. Overall I'm not impressed with the PUR system and will likely be replacing it with another system in the near future.

The LED stopped working a few months after purchase. I contacted PUR and was told that the LED runs on non-replaceable batteries and will eventually stop working, but the filters will continue to work. After several emails to them they asked me to return the entire jug at my expense for a replacement as the 90 day guarantee had expired. They didn't offer me a prepaid sticker. If the PUR product description had stated that the LED would eventually stop working, I wouldn't buy it!

Pros: Filter lead, water tastes good, my LED sensor works great, filters are inexpensive, filters water very quietly. Cons: Only I have a big scam. LID! It's so annoying. It doesn't snap into place, just sits on. Every time you pour water, you need to hold the back of the lid with your finger to keep it from falling. Pur bought a jug because of the excellent water filtration. I bought this to replace a Brita round jug that I have had for many years. Looks beautiful. Has good capacity. But that's bad design compared to Brita. You add water from the top, the water flows through the bottom of the pitcher. The jug is easy to use, the water is delicious. The display on the lid worked perfectly. We liked that the filter swivels and locks in place, unlike traditional Brita jugs. The jurors do not yet know how much the water quality has actually improved.
