The right tool for the job!

Perfect Rectangle! So perfect that it was surprising how easy and smooth it was to patch any of the three "holes". I had to make a third hole to catch my network cable. Best buy if you need to run cables and install low voltage single boxes. And it was perfect for the extra hole I needed to bypass the fire block. Simple patchwork. The oscillating dremal tool that I also bought from Amazon worked great at full power.

  • Outstanding Overall Achievement

Does not fit the latest Fein and Bosch tools

I really wanted to use this cutter but it did not fit my Fein. The Revain did not have an adapter. When I contacted the manufacturer, they had a $28 adapter. Plus $50 for the nozzle itself seemed like too much. Also, given the negligible torque, more steps are required to attach the insert to the tool. If I were a pro, that might make sense. So, once again, the 'victim' of a manufacturer who 'improves' their product to trick you into using their consumables. I'm looking at you Fane.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Damaged

Cut perfect holes in low voltage junction boxes in less than 30 seconds.

I have been in the cable and wire business for over 10 years. in the past, the trade-off has always been accuracy versus speed. If I wanted to be fast, the Rotozip router would be fast, but sometimes it would be difficult to control. When I needed precise cuts, I had to use an oscillating tool or hand saw to make the cut. These holes are cut in 2-3 minutes and often leave a lot of dust. With the Qbit I mark my point (align) on both sides, run the Qbit on my vibrating saw and in less than 30…

What a time saver on oscillating tool accessories

It's expensive, but after you've done half the 130 cam work the old way (lift the stencil, draw lines cutting four sides separately), and the other half of it (walking up, picking a spot, cutting a hole, moving on) has already paid off. WARNING: Don't use high speed on your tool, it's a good way to tire it out and break the blades, cuts great at medium speed. Everything ends there, and you have to finish it the old-fashioned way. And remember how much you're cutting at once, collect yourself…

The best tool ever! This is the best! If you do any installs, buy this!

This is the best invention ever. Every time I use it I love it. This simplifies the installation of wall plates and mud rings. Cuts through drywall like butter. It will go through different thicknesses. Even cuts wooden panels. The only complaint is that it's just so deep. I've encountered thick walls that are double clad and you'll know when that happens as the tool just can't go any deeper because of the drywall inside. But it has always paid off. I've shown it to my colleagues and other…

Great labor saving (and safe) device

The QBIT worked exactly as advertised and easily produced perfect cut outs for drywall sockets in just a few seconds. The biggest challenge was making sure the QBIT was level as once the cut has started there is no way to adjust it for vertical or horizontal errors (just mark the wall with a horizontal line and everything will be fine). Very durable and well built. A fact deserves repetition. Unlike a traditional drywall saw that "pierces" the space behind the drywall, the QBIT simply cuts…
