The coil wire is not long enough.

Cables are shorter than OEM. Maybe the cable doesn't go to the distributor. I had to use my old one. The wires going to each of the plugs worked but didn't care how tight they were.

Pros
  • Manufactured by Mercury Marine to exacting OEM specifications to maximize the performance of your Mercury and Mariner outboard or MerCruiser sterndrive
Cons
  • Available in white only

Magneto cable too short

Product not suitable for my engine. It says it's for a 1995 305 Thunderbolt IV ignition, but the solenoid wire was 3 inches shorter and of course it was the last wire I replaced. The longer wire worked, but it was taut. See attached photo.

Pros
  • Complete set of spark plug cables with spark plug connector
Cons
  • No automatic

The coil wire was 4 inches shorter. There is no way to move the spool.

Coil wire was the only damaged wire and was the main reason for replacing all connector wires. The new coil wire was shorter by about 4 inches, or about half the original length. It cost me a two and a half hour drive to a marine supply store that didn't stock anything and then to a car store plus $18. The long cable in the picture is the original cable and the new one is the short one.

Pros
  • Designed to achieve the correct connector position
Cons
  • Wrinkled
