Type of review

I'm mixed on feelings about this product. They definitely do the job of quietly clipping our senior dog (who's developed severe anxiety after going blind) nails. However, I have small hands and have a lot of trouble holding them--they tend to slide up my hand and require repositioning after every snip (meaning it's quiet but not quick). I had my husband give it a go since he has much larger hands. Sadly, same result. If they had rubber grips, they'd be a 5-star, but as is, I wouldn't order…

Pros
  • Suitable for dogs that have thick nails
Cons
  • The heavy-duty construction may make the tool too heavy to use effectively for those with arthritis or other joint problems

Worked like a charm!

Red is a stray that took months for me to gain his trust. I was not looking forward to clipping his nails, but these trimmers were quiet, easy to use, and there was no panic from him. It went so well my sister’s two dogs were next. The attachment that doesn’t allow to clip to deep was perfect and everyone came out happy. And no grooming fees to pay.

Pros
  • Safe to use for all types of dogs
Cons
  • The quiet operation may not be effective for anxious dogs that are already prone to reacting to passive sounds

Nail clipping made easier

I have three dogs and two of them get snarly when having nails cut. One is a rescue dog, hates her feet touched. Clipping her nails has always been a 4 man job. My other dog has thick "bear claw" nails, even the vet had trouble clipping them. I have broken 4 sets of clippers trying to clip his nails, no joke! I ordered because it said "cuts like butter" in something I read and it is absolutely right! I can snip the nails without being bitten by the recue and "bear Claws" are no match for them…

Pros
  • Ergonomic design reduces hand fatigue
Cons
  • The weight of the tool may be too much for some dog owners to use for extended periods of time

They broke the first time they were used.

Had my vet use them instead of the nail clippers they had and they broke the first and only time they were used on my medium size dog.

Pros
  • The blades are replaceable, so you don't have to buy a new cutter
Cons
  • The quiet operation may not be effective on particularly sensitive dogs that are still prone to reacting to noise

These trimmers are SUPER!

They do not release really far so it makes it easier to close them and snip the nails super fast! They are also very sharp so they trim quickly with less pressure on the nail. I have an 85 pound lab who hates having her nails trimmed but these trimmers have helped! We are getting better at tolerating trimming!

Pros
  • Ideal for sensitive dogs that don't tolerate loud noises well
Cons
  • The quiet operation may make it difficult to tell when the trimmer is running low on power

The cutting blade left the nail partially intact.

These clippers are made better than others, however, they did not provide a clean cut. This might belimited to the one I received? Be sure to inspect the travel of the cutting blade to ensure they travel100% into and through the cutting slot. These were the large model and accepted the nail of my German Shepherd without difficulty.

Pros
  • no
Cons
  • The precision clippers may not work effectively on dogs with very small or very large nails

Not for larger dogs

These did not hold up for me. They could not cut my medium size dogs nails and broke right away unfortunately. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Claw Care
Cons
  • The heavy-duty construction may make the tool too bulky to travel with

Stopped working after clipping 4 nails

I received them today and I was excited to clip my dogs’ nails. I have German Shepard and English shepherd. I got them to work right away. I started with my English shepherd because I am able to handle her better than my GS who gets into panic mode about her nails. The clippers did a great job. I got to another paw. I wanted to cut the nail and it grabs the nail but no cutting it. I did feel the handle did not move as strong- maybe something came loose or spring… either way I got disappointed…

Pros
  • The sleek design is easy to use and hold
Cons
  • The quiet operation may make it difficult for some dog owners to hear when they reach the quick of the nail

Good, but collapse sometimes

These helped quite a bit with our dogs nails! I noticed sometimes they do fold over and don’t work perfect, but they protect the nail from being too short in one cut. Overall satisfied

Pros
  • Perfect for training your dog to be more comfortable during nail clippings
Cons
  • The precision clippers may not be well-suited to certain types of nails that require more precision and control

It’s like cutting butter!

I never leave reviews, but this is life saving! I have an English mastiff with thick black nails and I’ve always had issues with cutting her nails and her allowing me to cut her nails. She pulled back the first cut but then relaxed and LET ME CUT ALL OF THEM! There was no flattening of her nails, just cut right through! I’m impressed!

Pros
  • Makes it easier to see and avoid the quick
Cons
  • The heavy-duty construction may be overkill for dogs that have already undergone extensive nail trimming

The Best Ever! - my new review

I have used many clippers and I like these best. Having the file has made trimming curled under nails so much easier to do. You just pull the file out, put it under the curling nail and it files it down. Using clippers to get under a curl typically results in cutting into the quick and causing the nail to bleed. When this happens, the dog tends to become paranoid about getting its nails clipped.

Pros
  • Comfortable grip design
Cons
  • The weight of the tool may be too much for some dog owners to use for extended grooming sessions

Don’t bother on my review.

I got this product because I trusted some of the reviews. I have a smaller dog so I figured it would work better than a dog with bigger nails. But no, they still splinter. I wasn’t impressed

Pros
  • A pet owner can use it with one hand
Cons
  • The precision clippers may not be precise enough for certain types of grooming styles or routines

Perfect for my Great Dane

This is better quality than I expected with some weight to it and easier to use then other clippers. This one works great on those huge Dane nails. Definitely would recommend for giant breeds.

Pros
  • Allows you to groom in a well-lit area
Cons
  • The quiet operation may not be as viable for particularly high-energy or agitated dogs

Best clipper I’ve found

I really like this clipper. It has lots of options, and I really like that you can use or not use the safety guard. My dog has some crazy dew claws and the clippers that only allow use with a safety guard just don’t work well.

Pros
  • Comes with clear instructions
Cons
  • The precision clippers may not work as well with nails that are particularly curved or irregularly shaped

Good value good for me

I used these to cut my dogs nails . They are very sharp and don't pull or crush the nail at all. I like the shape of the cutting head. I had to manuver into some dificult places and positions. The folding facter is great and keeps the cutter protected. I have very small hands so the handles are a bit clumsy for me but that probably wouldn't bother anyone else.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • The precision clippers may work too quickly, making it difficult for some dog owners to control the level of trimming
