Error stopping water flow

Valve material to stop water flow not working. Several thousand gallons of fresh water were lost to the desert floor with this float because it was not working. The water pressure in the line was below 40 psi. There's no reason this float couldn't stop the flow once the tank was full. In addition, the bullet rusted almost immediately in fresh water. Poor quality, not suitable for the task.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The float is not strong enough to close the valve.

Stick this in my swamp cooler. I bought it because it's all metal (except for the plastic float). The float does not swim far enough in the water to fully close the valve. So it slows down the flow of water, but doesn't stop it. 20 minutes after you left, the water starts to overflow. I tried bending the bar, changing the position, etc. Then I found the problem. The float should have been much bigger. The float that comes with the kit almost closes the valve. NEARLY.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great price but sensitive to hard water

We use them in our fungus sanitizers. They work great if you use a low pressure water source and watch out for limescale build up. We built a water tank with a toilet tank fitting to keep the raised bucket full. The line from the bucket goes to the ball valve installed on the disinfectant. Works well with a bucket about six feet above the ball valve (each foot of height adds about 0.5 pounds of water pressure). Another problem is the accumulation of calcium. We had about 30 ball valve trips…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
