Safety was my priority

Great knee pads. I've crashed onto the trail a few times and come out unscathed. Plus, it's a powerful, reliable booster that's easy to put on and take off. I'm not sure if it has good ventilation because my knees are sweaty. However, I didn't care. Safety was my priority. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I recommend these knee pads!

Ergonomic shape hugs the knee very well. Compared to some other knee pads I've bought these have good padding and even protect the sides of the knee. Extra point for taking it off or wearing it with shoes! (I remove it for long sustained climbs). The only complaint is that they get very hot on warm days (the ventilation isn't very good).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

I love these pads! on knee and shin pads

These are fantastic knee pads. Thanks to a fully open system with 3 Velcro straps, they are easy to put on without having to pull them over the foot and ankle. It is comfortable to drive in it. In the heat, they're not quite cool, but they're not that hot either. Excellent knee protection. Be sure to use the size. Hard when ordering. They match the chart but I needed a large one when I usually order a medium one.

5ft 8140 guy + medium pillow = too tight

I'm a 5ft 8140 guy, athletic legs but not bodybuilder status, medium was too tight. They definitely felt like protective, comfortable pads, but they just didn't fit me. A bit on the bulky side, but not bad. Aside from being too tight I should have returned them because one of the pads had a gross stitching stain, the other was fine so I guess it was just a machine defect.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never

Firm cushion, might be a bit tight after unpacking.

When I took the large pads out of the box they were a little tight and almost didn't fit. I wore them around the house waiting to see if they were worth returning. The next day I put them on, they were much better. I rode my bike in them for about 2 hours and it seemed fine, I forgot I was wearing them. Velcro already causes some wear and tear on some of the softer surfaces. not yet dropped for a real test

Pros
  • Knee and shin pads
Cons
  • Expensive

My calves are a little small

I ordered these after speaking to a friend who has the kit. From what I've heard they are comfortable to pedal and not too bulky. The ONLY thing I have an issue with is that they are small as mentioned by another person. I have large thighs and calves and usually wear oversized pads. The top velcro straps fit well, as does the middle one. The bottom, first velcro would not attach if I didn't fasten it tight enough. I could get them to work, but I don't like my pads being too tight. So I sent…

So far I like them a lot

I've been using them for almost two months now (two or three times a week). This is my first time wearing knee pads having had a minor accident and nearly crushed my knee on a rock so I really have nothing to compare to other knee pads. The main reason I bought these pads over other brands is because I didn't want to take my shoes off to put them on. I measured my feet according to the chart on the RaceFace website and bought a size Large based on that. They fit great except the bottom velcro…
