🛡️ Ultimate Protection for RaceFace Crank Boots: Choose Our Crank Boot Protectors Review

I ordered these connecting rods for my FSA SL-K MTB connecting rods. They fit too tight so the hole for the pedal bolt was off center. I had to enlarge the hole in the crank cuffs a bit so the pedals could be put back in. Even with the boots and pedals on it's not too noticeable and they protect my cranks just like I wanted.

After reading so many reviews and questions about how these protectors fit and don't fit, I am happy to report that they are a perfect match for my RaceFace Next Carbon crankset. Glided nice and neat and the holes lined up as they should. The color is amazing as they match the Trek red on the bike. On the first day there were already 2 rockfalls and there was no trace of them. We'll see how long they last but for now I love them and recommend them.

These things are very useful. I noticed some wear on the ends of my cranks and decided to give it a try. Not only do they protect the ends of the cranks from rock chips, but they also add some color to an area of the bike that doesn't have a lot of it. I only gave 4 stars because they didn't fit right away. It seems to be nothing, I haven't used it on the track yet. I did a setup test with 2 cranks. The first fit was on Shimano XT Hollow Tech and they felt pretty loose. There is a decent gap between the ends of the boots and the crank. I also just ordered a Raceface Turbine Cinch crank and expected it to fit like a glove. It fits better but there are some gaps at the ends. It's not as bad as Shimano cranks, but still there. As others have said, debris will come in. Perhaps heating to shrink would…

However they didn't fit my wife's Race Face Turbine mountain bike cranks. The boots are too big for these madmen. However, they unexpectedly matched the SRAM Red AXS cranks on my gravel bike and they fit really well. I wasn't planning on putting cranks on my gravel bike but figured I could as they fit and the cranks are carbon. The quality is nothing special, but probably capable.
