Great amplifier for audio and video accessories

I used this on my homemade butterfly antenna mounted on my old directv mount because of the 50ft coax cable. This helped improve the channels for a crystal clear picture for ota tv channels 50 miles away. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Some problems

Works as advertised.

Required gain for a whole house omnidirectional antenna installed in the attic and connected to 50 foot coaxial cable before connecting to the Radio Shack product. The signal is then split between the living room and the basement, so yes the signal is stronger but not as strong as I was hoping. Probably too much to ask for a $64 amp under the circumstances.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Doubtful

Well that helps a little.

Fur, it helps a little. Be sure to install the preamplifier as close to the external antenna as possible. Believe it or not, the 4G/LTE filter that Revain sells (yes, the one made in Taiwan) really works! Turn on this filter just before the preamp input. It made a big difference for me. Switched from 19 to 32 channels with LTE filter.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The best signal booster for the money!

I professionally install TV antennas and this signal booster is without a doubt the best value for money on the market. Very few amplifiers have variable gain control and reach 33 dB. Don't waste your time on anything else unless you want to double or triple the cost. This is a fantastic product, I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some bugs

lost channels in accessories and consumables

Replacement for my old amp. who was having trouble connecting some of the outstations but had to turn it off to see some nearby channels due to their excessive gain. I thought this adjustable amp would be perfect, but it performed even worse by not even tuning in to nearby stations. Tried all off-on configurations and amp levels but it didn't help. It's probably DOA but my return window is closed so I just wanted to let people know to try it out ASAP.

Useless. There were no channels with him.

I've had other preamps over the years and found this one based on a YouTube review. I installed an antenna for my parents and they have a few channels that they watch regularly, just intermittently. After I hooked up this preamp and turned it on, the good stations they were getting dropped at 55% signal to just pixelation and dropouts. Weak stations that only worked intermittently were completely out of order. No channels were available to watch with this preamp. As soon as I removed the…

Works great

I've spent too much time going through all the options. In the end I chose this device. I am very happy with it. Get it if: 1) you connect your radio to a coaxial cable from a TV antenna to also improve radio reception (this device does not block FM reception) 2) you need to boost TV and radio signals. 3) Your radio has a coaxial antenna and you need better radio reception and are using an old TV antenna in your attic or rooftop (this works for both FM and TV reception). Boosters don't add…
