VL53L1X Time-of-Flight (ToF) Long Distance Ranging Sensor, 4 meters Accuracy, 50Hz Ranging Frequency. The VL53L1X uses ST's latest ToF technology, which integrates physical infrared filters and optical components to provide distance measurement and immunity to interference regardless of target color and reflectivity. The FlightSense sensor directly measures the distance between the object and the sensor based on the photon round-trip flight time. The measurement accuracy is not affected by the surface characteristics of the measured object, making the low-power high-precision ranging and proximity detection function suitable for a wider range of applications. Used in Mobile Robot, UAV, Detection Mode, Camera, Architecture and Lighting, Smart Home, Inventory Management. I2C Communication Interface, Control the module on/off via IO pins. Onboard level conversion circuit, compatible with 3.3V and 5V working levels, Compatible with Arduino Motherboard, Raspberry Pi Motherboard and STM32 Motherboard.

Great touch module! Multifunctional and works with Arduino!

This awesome sensor module works with Arduino and has several libraries to support it like those from Pololu and Sparkfun. As a time-of-flight sensor, you can expect reliable distance detection up to 4 meters from this product. This sensor has an API that allows you to set one or more areas of interest for applications such as people/object counting, speed detection, and swipe detection.   • The FlightSense sensor directly measures the distance between an object and the sensor based on the orbital period of a photon. The measurement accuracy is not affected by the surface characteristics of the object to be measured, which makes the low-power, high-precision distance and proximity function suitable for a wider range of applications.

Exactly what I expected

Works exactly as expected. It's Arduino compatible and the libraries are easy to find. I've used it to measure objects 1-2 inches from the sensor. The only downside is that the size/surface area of the object can slightly affect the measurements.

good sensor Works well.

This sensor meets all our expectations for a VCSEL VL53L1X time-of-flight sensor. It was handy to have a plug-in harness so you don't have to solder directly to the board. Our application was with Raspberry Pi 4.

No Python support but good communication interface

There was a good ToF sensor. Worked but didn't need it for my latest project. The libraries are only in C, which is not good for Python based applications.

This sensor met all our expectations for VCSEL VL53L1X time-of-flight sensors. It was handy to have a plug-in harness so you don't have to solder directly to the board. Our application was with Raspberry Pi 4.

Simple, effective.

Very simple and easy to use with Arduino Uno. I use this sensor to detect the height of objects on a platform and it works perfectly. The sensor is on a rising platform, and once the sensor is over the object, the Arduino stores that data and moves on to the next task. Very easy to use.
