Ration Plus® For Horses 16Oz Review

I buy this all the time at my local feed store. I ordered from Revain when they ran out of stock. I find it maintains weight and helps balance horses' nutritional needs.

I actually had an older horse when I first tested the Ration Plus product when it was developed many years ago. We moved her 1500 miles with the move and she has started to lose weight. It worked wonders for her. I have an old mare that I bought her for. and it's hard to find.

My miniature mare developed laminitis and as a result we changed her diet. Because of her dietary changes, she stopped eating and lost weight that she didn't need to lose. I started adding Ration Plus to just soaked beet pulp and now she has started to gain the weight she has lost and will eat anything we offer her. Her eyes shine and she is happy again.

After feeding Ration Plus for a day, my horse's appetite returned. My horse had an infection and was taking antibiotics which not only ruined his digestive flora but also stopped his appetite. I didn't want to take him to the hospital so I tried Ration Plus and my horse started eating again the next day. And 3 days after feeding my horse got hungry and started eating hay again.

Seems to help my gelding improve digestion; no more random "cow pies" and he's gaining weight. This liquid formula, which needs to be measured out and then poured into its granules and mixed each morning, definitely takes more effort than other products I've used, but when it works, it's worth it. (Please note that the horse has been seen by our vet and is in the "normal" range for weight and droppings. This is not a substitute for a vet!)

I know it's a prebiotic, but it makes probiotics work! Horses have such sensitive digestions, anything that helps them digest better is great and this product keeps my horses eating better and feeling better and more stable.
