It's ok for what it is, but I was looking for a replacement for my microcassette player and got the wrong thing. The seller was very fast and the item was in perfect condition. Unfortunately this cassette player does not work properly. I was MORE disappointed in him. It arrived on time and by the time I was halfway through the first side, it was already stalling and the tape was distorted. I thought maybe it was the tape, put a new one in ----- did the same. I bought three of these because they were very cheap and I had experience with them. The first one I opened to use didn't play the cassette. He stumbled on like it was the end of a tape. The previous recorder's pause switch will remain in the "on" position, so it will no longer play or record. These recorders are getting old and hard to buy so I buy them when I can. There is no portable recording alternative with the same sound quality.
