Foot pads move left and right. very annoying

the foot pads move left to right and rub against the toes (which is awful) got the right size according to the size chart, they might be too small. I am not sure. but the length seems ok.

Pros
  • new
Cons
  • the cord is shorter than the others

Not for people under 5ft 4 "

I'm 5ft 3" and have bought and returned them twice. I first ordered a medium size following the sizing recommendations - too long (locked my knee so it was very uncomfortable for me to bend my knee). I ordered a small one hoping it would fix the problem - almost the same length as the medium one. There really wasn't any difference in length. It was just tighter. The dimensions are terrible for small people.

i give them back 2 stars for comfort has issues

First of all I like the RDX gloves. I bought these, love the flowy fit. But I included a picture where the bottom of the shield digs into the bottom of the shin. maybe it breaks after a while, but it's noticeable and uncomfortable. The materials appear to be durable. I'll come back when I bend my legs, they dig in. I like the material and the look, so I'm a bit disappointed. Fairtex or Venum would be my next choice.

I burned my toes playing sports

PRO: They protect my shins really well, I can check and hit hard without hurting my shins unlike the previous - cheaper - shields I've worn. CONS: The main disadvantage is the part of the foot though, they just sit awkwardly and actually scratch and burn the skin right on my toes. Tired of duct tape for him, he's still erasing duct tape. I've obviously used them several times so I couldn't return them. But I won't use them anymore because of that, money is thrown out the window for me. Guess…

Excellent shin guard but foot pads need to be more durable

I've been using them for two months for Muay Thai sparring and pads (size L, 6" and 180lbs). Protection is great, fits well and stays in place. The guard fully covers the toes which is not my preference, wish they were a little shorter. The protection slides easily and one of the pads has an elastic band. The leg strap is already starting to snap, I can probably use them for a few more months before this strap comes loose, so it's not as strong as I expected for the price.

All my students love these shin guards.

I have Windy, Fairtex and other brands from Thailand and America. I personally use Fairtex, but some people don't have that much money to invest in good stuff. The RDX offers enough comfort and protection for sparring use, but at a very reasonable price. Yes, the RDX brand is not yet luxurious. But as your first pair of shin guards, there will be plenty of them. You can't beat the price. Maybe on some REV Gears, but some say there's too much padding. I have 5 students who like to wear them…

The best ratio of price and quality!

I recently signed up for muay thai, after some research and questions I found the RDX. I was short on money and needed shin guards so I settled on these; I decided to buy this pair while saving some money to get a better pair. I was shocked when I received them, they were sturdy and well made! I ordered a large size (mine is 5ft 9in) and they fit perfectly! My only complaint (not a problem) is that they close with velcro that goes into a metal loop first. That's just because I'm used to two…

Excellent protection, sometimes slips sideways

I've been kicked enough times now to write a review on these knee pads. Put simply, they are great. They will definitely protect your feet. Unfortunately, I had to give them a less than perfect assessment of a key problem I kept encountering on the mat. During exercise, the pads begin to move away from the center of the lower leg. It's not a serious problem, but theoretically the shin pads shouldn't move if someone gets kicked in the leg. I have a thinner physique which could contribute to…
