Improves over time - be patient, it's worth it

Excellent product. I tried mineral oil and other products before trying this and it's a huge improvement over anything I've tried. I have 4 years from a can! I had to use it several times for the first few months, but over time I might use it twice a year. I put the jar and rag in a resealable plastic bag so I don't waste wax dampening the rag instead of the counters; It's amazing how far so little goes. Put some elbow grease on it, spread it very thinly and buff it will help get rid of water…

Answered my prayers

I have a soapstone meter which I have oiled very regularly with mineral oil. While it looked amazing when you touched it, the fingerprints left were mind-blowing! Or when a piece of paper touched it, the oil in it was absorbed. Forget clothes. Until a friend recommended this option. I didn't want to use it until I saw the company's video on YouTube. Great product with one caveat

This material is excellent for soapstone worktops. We used mineral oil and it wore out so quickly that in our house you had to reapply it every few days on the most used areas. We often use countertops, especially near the sink. Real milk paint should definitely be applied if you will not be using countertops for 5-7 days, e.g. B. on vacation, so that it has time to set and harden. Easy to use and great countertops

I installed our soapstone countertops 6 months ago. My interior designer tried to talk me out of it because she said her friend's countertops were always dirty and oily. But I knew I liked the look of soapstone and discovered this product straight away, so I can't even compare it to mineral oil.
