I have a soapstone meter which I have oiled very regularly with mineral oil. While it looked amazing when you touched it, the fingerprints left were mind-blowing! Or when a piece of paper touched it, the oil in it was absorbed. Forget clothes. Until a friend recommended this option. I didn't want to use it until I saw the company's video on YouTube. They do a great job and explain step by step. It dries faster than the recommended waiting time of 3-5 days. I wiped it off in the morning, left for half an hour, wiped off the excess and waited 4-5 hours to put everything back on the shelves. No problem. All is well - it repels water, the stone can still be felt, accentuates the beauty of the stone and its color and most importantly - NO PRINTS! I've since used it on a tree and a rusty outdoor dinner bell. This is a great product that I will order again. I hope I answered any questions I had when I first got it.
