Description of ๐ ๏ธ 0519 Real Steel Framing Striking
Ball pein hammer stronger & lighter ultra sleek design easy to work. Forged from one piece steel more strength and durability. Polished ball pein and standard head for shaping sheet metal. Shock-reducing and comfortable cushion rubber grip.
There is a clear coating on the hammer which will peel off with normal use but I still recommend the hammer as is seems to be very ergonomic. I would say with confidence that it will last 20+ years without the need for replacement.
Pros
Easy to read control panel
Cons
Really don't like anything about it, everything is fine
A hammer of this weight is not a jackhammer. I use it for subtlety, to "reform" or correct things. It's good for this use. It has a heavily plasticized surface that gives an uneven surface after a few uses, especially for precision use, so I removed that with some acetone
maintenance mechanic so it seems perfect for what I will end up using it. It's not too long, which I like because sometimes I have to work on small details, like putting in bearings or roller pins. The long handle is annoying. 16 oz is right in the middle for what I need. Big grip! And of course everything made of metal! I'm not sure how strong the steel is, if it's machined etc. But I won't be a whaler on it very often. I see other buyers have broken theirs who can talk about it, in which case
i used a buddy's hammer. A victim in one hand and a hammer in the other. I slid my hand down the hammer to strike, ending up with a bunch of fiberglass shards from the shattered handle. Ouch. Oh. I learned the hard way to test my hammers. I was a real mechanic. At the moment I'm just working on my stuff. I have two sets of 5 hammers, one wood and one fiberglass, ranging from 8 to 32 ounces. I've had them for over 20 years. Persuaded many cars and devices. When I'm working things with a hammerโฆ
