Thinner than I was hoping for

I've been buying Realtreel merino socks in the national major department stores for a few years but they haven't sold for 6 months. I was hoping for the same socks, but they are 1/2 times thicker, not much better than cotton socks.

Husband loves buy more. Soft, warm, comfortable and DRY!

Bought these for my husband for Christmas and he LOVES them. Want to buy more! They say they keep him warm and dry in them and they're really comfortable and not very bulky which can be an issue for winter socks. Definitely recommend these!

Ordered a second pair

Have ordered these twice already. The original pair is still going strong after 300 days of wear. The color is a bit faded, but otherwise no problems - no holes, no shrinkage, at least some loose threads. They are comfortable, durable and breathable for wool socks.

Great socks. on clothing

I usually buy WigWam or Smartwool socks but I would compare these socks to any brand. I had them in the snow. I had no problem keeping my feet warm with my Danner (Fort Louis) boots. For longer hikes, Smartwool socks might win. But for hunting, these socks are just as good as the WigWam socks. I will buy more of these socks.

Didn't last long: Men

My socks have never worn out as quickly as these. After receiving 2 pairs for Christmas and being impressed with their quality I ordered what looked and sounded like the gift I was given. Same brand, sock markings and wool content. The socks arrived from Revain on April 5th and today is May 9th. All four socks were worn down to the heels. Christmas socks are good. That's a waste of money.

Very warm and comfortable wool socks that go great with 6 inch hiking boots.

Very warm socks of the highest quality. Not bulky but comfortable. 70 percent merino wool is very comfortable. damp when your feet sweat profusely but you are not cold. They absorb moisture well. This winter I wore them outside in temperatures below zero to 60 degrees. Your legs don't tire as quickly. They also hold up to washing, but I wash in cold water with Costco detergent instead of Tide, apply detergent lightly and tumble dry on a gentle cycle. Do this and the fabric will not curl up…

Nice but reduced! A lot of!

It shrunk in the first wash and now looks like a baby sock next to my husband's wool blend Carhartt socks which have not shrunk at all. See photo, Carhartt on the left and sock on the right. Believe it or not, they were the same size! Shame because my husband said he really likes them, good socks, decent price but just don't put them in the dryer! And I can't live like this. Linen should be easy to care for.

  • Moisture wicking and warm

Good for hiking in cool weather

I wear a size 10. I ordered a medium size. They came a little more than I needed. After washing, drying on high heat, and now they are almost right or maybe a bit small. They are thicker than they appear in the photo. They make good hikers in cold weather. I wore them on a snowboard and they were great. If it really is merino then it's a blend because it's not as soft as I think it is when I think of merino. If you're wearing them with shoes that are perfect for thinner socks, look elsewhere. .

Pros
  • 70% merino wool, 26% nylon, 4% spandex
Cons
  • crumpled fabric

BAD QUALITY OR JUST SECONDS?

Aside from mentioning those smelly socks like the other review, the pack I received was of poor quality. As you can see where the top meets the bottom only 1 of 4 socks was sewn, assembled semi decently. The remaining 3 show where it is obvious that the machine skipped a few stitches, the threads were pulled out. So if you wear them like this, holes will appear immediately, they will unravel at the seams. Also, the socks are thin and tight, even on my skinny legs. Thankfully the seller sent me…

Very warm and comfortable wool socks, perfect for 6 " high hiking boots.

Super warm socks of the highest quality. Because when your feet sweat a lot, they get wet, but you won't get cold. Do this and the fabric won't curl. If wet, they air dry due to the open weave. I've bought many pairs because I…
