Excellent yarn. Not too soft but will get better after a single wash in the washing machine. A giant ball when the yarn is so expensive.

Beautiful Colors. I am currently working on an 80" x 90" quilt and was very concerned that the skeins were from different color batches. They are all from the same batch so there shouldn't be any color matching issues. I love color variations.

One end of the strand is dark purple and the other end is light purple. You won't see the ombre effect unless you use the entire strand. I was hoping for more color variety based on the picture. The yarn is not soft. It felt almost plastic. Low quality acrylic.

Probably the worst yarn I've ever bought if I hadn't known beforehand that the yarn I bought was Mill Ends! Many thick and thin threads on my journey and oh so many knots! In fact I was disgusted with the quality of the yarn for such a price! I've been using Red Heart yarn since the late 50's and have always been satisfied. Not now. The yarn is coarse, heavy and very stiff! Doesn't work well!

If you're looking for purple, try Purple Ombre, which is described as colorful shades of purple. The purple ombre I got was more of a muted pink than purple and not at all what I was looking for. Rearranged in purple ombre. Very happy with the Red Heart yarn and Revain prices and easy returns. The 4 star rating was only given for "misdescription" and aggravating the need for a return.
