Not impressed: Interior

Not impressed at all. It's very hard to get the piston to break through and then it just pops out again. Doesn't hold the door at all.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Empty

Perfect for my needs.

I replaced the old one on my motorhome with this new one. It was almost a direct replacement for the one I've had since 1972. I screwed it to the existing holes. She successfully held the door in high winds. I really couldn't ask for a better replacement!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Protection

Perfect for holding the door open!

This is EXACTLY what I need to keep the horse trailer door open. The factory latch locked the door in the open position, but to close the door it had to be unlocked. Anyone would just yank at it and break the bolt holder. I tried this guy and the compression style was perfect! No more fixing a broken latch.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Cracked rubber in furniture and equipment

I am rebuilding a trailer that had one of these and the rubber was bad so I decided to replace it. That was the one I replaced. I had it for about a month with moderate use and all the rubber broke. really disappointed. It sucks when you need a door to stay open when a light wind pushes against it.

Pros
  • Hands free work
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Definitely not "3 inches " as advertised. 2-1/4 " Exactly

Well made and fit my use but I wasn't sure when they would arrive due to the short length. My trailer has flush door handles so they are perfectly clear. I checked they will fit my pickup with a standard door handle and this item does not work The handle hits the wall before the stem reaches the socket.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Quality
