    The grinding wheel now runs very quietly

    Thanks to the bushing set, my grinding wheel runs properly, i.e. no vibrations. I was surprised at how quiet my grinder was after replacing the plastic bushing that came with the Norton wheel. It's almost like a new mill. I am very pleased with the accuracy and fit of the bearing set - it appears to be very well designed. I recommend.

    These metal bushings are a significant improvement over the plastic bushings normally supplied with the grinding wheel. But there is a large gap between the innermost sleeve and the mandrel of the grinder. I had to route each bushing (with painter's tape) to ensure a tight fit and eliminate as much wheel run out as possible.

    Bought a pair of 8" Norton White AO wheels for Wilton/Jet 578008 IBG-8 (flanges machined not stamped) Tried wheels with Norton supplied hubs, wheels rocked like shit. The culprit in my case. The blue plastic Norton hubs that came with the wheels. Those steel bushings are a heck of a lot better than the poorly matched plastic bushings that Norton sell these days. With these hubs installed, the wheels will run straight and true without much fuss or hassle. .

    Straight No Vibration Spin

    Great purchase my BENCHGRINDER runs smooth with the right spacer - 1st shaft then large spacer then smallest spacer for my spoked wheel then 2nd shaft then nut tightened - - smooth and balanced, medium size, I'm sure I'll have to use it when I grow other wheels, if you want to buy this product, spend the extra $7 and buy the one with 4 spacers, it's worth it itself and, as said, is used especially if you are going to use different wheels
