This item is good but I was under the impression that it was made entirely of metal and glass. It is not. I don't think this item is worth the price.

The decoration was advertised as a polar bear but more like a grizzly bear. If the type of bear is important to you, keep that in mind.

This snow globe is beautiful and well made. My daughter collects them and we always give them to her for Christmas. I saw this on Neiman Marcus' website so I checked and found $10 less than Neiman. It has to be in the top 3 most popular snow globes, it's so pretty!

After 15 years of collecting snow globes, my grandson switched to snow globe decoration because his mother ran out of space! Last year he got a bear and this year a deer and he loved them both! I hope they come out with some new snow globe decorations because the quality and craftsmanship is very, very good!

As a child I had a snow globe, but it got lost somewhere. I forgot about them until recently when I saw a mention of one of them in a book and learned that they were made in Vienna in the late 18th century. This one is perfect. . . solid, well made, looks like real sterling silver on the stag and base. . . and plays Silent Night. It looked very cheap when received and inspected and what I was hoping for a metal base turned out to be poorly coated plastic.
