I love this product - thermometer and timer

The only problem I have is that the numbers are difficult to read. To read them I have to go 12 to 18 inches. Otherwise I like this device. It has a very long cord, so setting the temperature measuring point in the right place in the freezer is not a problem.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good device with a ribbon cable that runs under the door seal.

Handy for vertical freezing to keep an eye on the internal temperature. The flat cable makes it easy to route under the door seal without causing frost or temperature loss. Also fairly accurate compared to my calibrated thermocouple.

Pros
  • Finish
Cons
  • Style 90

Came back because the alarm wasn't loud and beeped too seldom

The freezer I wanted is in the basement. The alarm wasn't loud enough to be heard upstairs and it rang too infrequently to be sure it would be heard if you rushed down to the basement to get something. I didn't measure, but it seemed to me that the noises were heard at intervals of a minute or two.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Repair

Good block but will not stick to drywall

Block works as advertised so far with no issues. The controls are pretty easy to use. It comes with about five or six feet of probe cord, which you should stow away if you're a fan of neatness. The only problem with this is the supplied adhesive to attach the device to the wall, which doesn't seem to work very well. I replaced the Gorilla Ribbon but it might be too raw for some installs.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works great for freezer temperature alarm! 🚨

When the temperature rises above the value you set, it beeps 5 times. Beeps will be repeated every one to two minutes until the temperature is back below the set point. It's a good balance to the constant alarm, as it's not too annoying if you open the door a bit while you're storing or cleaning up the freezer. .Also has a MIN/MAX function that allows you to view the upper and lower set points for the freezer on/off cycle.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Disappear

but it works very well (I've also compared it to another thermometer)

Be sure to follow the instructions for setting alarms, switching between sensors etc. The buttons are not intuitive but they work quite well good good (I also compared it with another thermometer). There is a magnet on the back so you can hang it next to the freezer. The wire is thin enough to provide a vacuum seal for my chest freezer, but thick enough to dent the rubber gasket itself. Since this is a chest freezer, the weight of the door covers everything well.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Not everything fits
